Does anyone make a 1:48th scale cockpit detail set for this plane?

Black box or Cutting wotsit did, i had them, wing fold too
maybe OOP but not cheap.
Black Box did - don't think it's available anymore. It's nice and complete and was fetching high prices on eBay last time I looked some months ago.

I have the one from Black Box, but I believe both Verlinden and Cutting Edge may also have ones available.
The BB set and an old True Details PE set are the only ones I've seen for the cockpit. Verlinden made a pit for the A-6E and CE made an external correction set and new wing with folds, but not a cockpit set.

Black Box also has a set of folded wings - just recently released. I have a set, but haven't checked them agains the model yet. Looks nice, though.

It's the only way I can keep from buying kits...
let's see if i understand. you buy a kit for $60 and detail sets for $200 and this keeps you from buying kits? i'm confused.

...uh...sort of...I got a flyer from Hobbyland today...the 1/32 Black Knights Tomcat from Tamiya is on sale for $79.99 down from $167 list...I think I'm gonna have to jump on that...and possibly a second Trumpeter Flanker...my birthday's coming up...
Besides, I've already got $80 worth of resin waiting to convert it into a D...
...could work...but you'll probably end up awash in decals. (I seem to be getting there, too.)

15 replies............... $$$$$$$$$.............and 15 answers going round in circles. aftermarket! that's all i read. that and high dollar figures! all the information available on line, books etc. and no one can build their own stuff without aftermarket resin (or is it platinum)parts. what has this hobby turned into? who can spend the most? we're all not contest modelers. if i spent that kind of cash on a model, i couldn't enjoy it. a lot more satisfaction in knowing i did it myself, and most the time it looks better too!
