Bunch of cheap models for sale!

Wow.. just thought I'd let you guys know that I have a handful of great models for sale on ebay. They are starting at $4.99 each, and the last six I sold went for the basic $4.99 price.

Have a look if you are interested. I bought them a few years ago when I had alot more time than I do now. Never got a chance to finish them. They were all bought in England, just outside of Cambridge.

Good luck!

Auction, not sale.

I assume that you are talking about my post, copied below...

Well, yes, you are right. You have me on that one. I am guilty, cuff me and take me away, officer. I didn't mean to mislead, they are for auction. Thing is, as I said below, most of my models in that lot, about five of them, have already been sold at the list price of $4.99.

Auction or sale, sounds like a damn good deal to me. You decide. I can guess that I won't be seeing your name on the ebay website under the items?

An auction *is* a sale.

auc?tion n.

  1. A public sale in which property or items of merchandise are sold to the highest bidder. {American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, 4th Edition}

auction \Auc"tion\, n. ... 1. A public sale of property to the highest bidder, esp. by a person licensed and authorized for the purpose; a vendue. {Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary}

auction n ... 2: the public sale of something to the highest bidder [syn: auction sale, vendue] {WordNet 1.6}

Ideally, Joseph should have prefaced his header with 'FA' for an auction. The 'FS' was implied without that.

"wow" "great" and you're describing you're own auctions......... hardly an unbiased description and probably incorrect.

I don't see anything special in those kits or prices.

Sorry.

Then skip them. Skip the ebay auction, skip my posts... no need to be a grumpy ass and take a free shot at me. What a miserable small group of bitter people that I have come into contact with reading this board.. Im SURE its not everyone because I bet that there are plenty out there that are great guys.

Look, if you don't like it, skip it. Dont buy it. Dont read my posts.. it's that easy. No need to confirm that you are bitter and sad and can't stand to let an opportunity go by to graffiti someone elses post that has nothing to do with you.

You don't know my kits. You don't know what I have to offer. You don't know much of anything, but thanks for confirming it. All Im looking for is to sell some kits that I have never started and probably won't, and maybe in the process, help someone out that might be looking for the exact model I have to offer.

I just don't get it. Somebody tell me where the good guys are on the boards?

all around. we just get a little tired of self serving ads repeated and not exactly literal. theoretically, spam is a usenet no no. some groups allow it, some don't don't beat us on the head. you might also realize that ebay is a source every person here is aware of.

Actually he has a point. How many times do you see someone post something to sell only to have some twit post that it's not worth it, the model is junk, etc. Same goes for those that feel the need to be the English Pfrossor and correct grammar, offer definitions, etal.

Let's not forget the "piling on" some folks seem to always be ready to do.

Just my take on this.
