By jove I think he's got it!

I've just had one of those moments where after months of practice and not really seeming to make progress it has all come together in a blinding flash.

I'm talking about my airbrush where the paint consistency, compressor pressure and my control of the double action trigger have come to a conjunction that has allowed me to put down a layer of paint with a smoothness and eveness that has left me stunned.

Happy New Year

Good post. I have seen so many messages (and heard personal stories) of folks trying an airbrush- especially DA ones- and saying it doesn't work. When I ask how long they have practiced before using it on a model, they give me a very strange look!

Air brushing takes a reasonable level of skill that must be acquired though some practice time. It is not instant gratification. It is not an automatic pushbutton device.

Actually, good hand brush>

And big respect to you too Rufus. I neglected to mention that this was a coat of matt white aswell and I used the tips that you gave me a few months ago on this group about spraying white.

I guess it depends on how dextrous you are. I had partialy learned to airbrush back in my mid teens (20 odd years ago now) and then given up modelling as other needs took over (girls, beer, college and work).

It's also probably like learning to ride a bike; you never really forget how to do it despite maybe not having ridden one for years.

Good luck with learn> Please don't tell me this takes years to master as I have just got one from
