There's one He-111 and three P-47's in the box right? In this "series" they also did Hellcats and a Betty. No Ju-88 that I've seen.

those are the kits but the 111 gear does not retract . it is glued in place. the engines are pretty sparse.

Actually it's 2 P-47s,and one of mine had short-shot wings (Anyone else?).Decals actually worked well tho.And I gave the Heinkel a "Who cares which mark this oddball is" Splinter scheme.Looks pretty good IMHO

If you mean a set including a Ju-88, that's right - they haven't issued one. But Lindberg did do a Ju-88 in 1/64 scale at one time.

i have their 1.72 ju88. it has engines, too. i'm using their engines to bash one of their do 335's with the hatches open. they look pretty cool.

Are there a lot of closet Lindberg fans in here? I actually like most of their old kits,except that odd tail on the FW190...

i ain't in no closet. i built a gazillion lindberg kits in the 50's-60's-70's. last go round, bldg19 (bargaub joint, king of, retial variety) had them for a buck a pop. i bought

I am a Lindberg American. There now I feel better. Really, when you think about the stuff they put out that no one else has and whilst the execution sometimes left something to be desired they aren't really as bad as people make out. Lindberg went for some features that were dead ends like noisemakers and retractable gear but others with famous names had their share of those too. Had they matured and stuck to a scale or scales they might still be with us albeit having their stuff moulded elsewhere. They still are with us but they threw away any attempt to be scale model kitmakers for the hopping toys business.

I enjoy the old Lindbergs as well. In addition to their cheap 1:72 Luftwaffe collection (basis for a lot of my Luft '46 kit bashes), I have a lot of fun doing their antique 1:48 civil birds, courtesy of Peguso re-pops. Next on the list is the Stinson Stationwagon. BTW, who else did that plane? Oh yeah, nobody.....

i don't knock the folks who spend ten times more on the add-ons than for the kit, but do they have as much fun? i did an open hatch do 335 with the ju88 kit motors on a piece of balsa painted like the autobahn with a little bridge and it looked good. sanding off the rivets and a vac canopy helped with some scratched interior. a friend talked me out of it 30 years ago and still displays it proudly. the ar 234 lends itself to bashing... they are fun and i want more!

yea, i used a pencil to twirl as a winder and then stuck in the magnets and they work fine
