You have to grind away the detail inside the cockpit area that gets replaced by the resin. Often you need to take away some of the thickness of the plastic as well.

I bought one of the cockpit detail sets from Cutting Edge for the Hasegawa F-104C. The instructions talk about gluing the sidewalls into place. However, the fuse has several verticle ribs. It doesn't appear that the sidewalls can be installed without the ribs being removed. Has anyone used this upgrade with the F-104C, and if so, what did you do?
Thanks Bob
