I missed of the Westland Wyvern

The helicopters are the easiest. Italeri makes 1/72 kits of the Whirlwind (well, the US version - Sikorsky S-19) and Wessex. Airfix and Fujimi both make the Lynx. Airfix does a Seaking and I think they did a Wasp at one time.

A better kit for the British Sea King would be the gorgeous Revell of Germany kit.

Thanks but I am not so worried about the kits. I am really more concerned at the moment if my list is complete. once I know what I am looking for I am sure I can get a strategy together for tracking them down.

I also model post-war FAA aircraft, but I made the switch from 1/72 to 1/48 several years ago, your list is coming along nicely, but I'll see if I can add to it for you, here's some ideas :

I actually have the Sea Venon - I just forgot about that. If I had given it a bit more thought I guess I would have come up with most of those I missed on your list except I had completely forgotten the Dragonfly and the firefly. I had not come across the Firebrand! After all these years as well.

If you do go looking for them, be sure to stock up on any appropriate Modeldecal, Almark and Model Art Decals that you find; decal sheets with Fleet Air Arm subjects are out there, but aren't necessarily too easy to find.

You might try to see if you can get a copy of Ray Sturtivant's "The Squadrons of the Fleet Air Arm". Mine was published in 1984 by Air-Britain. ISBN

0-85130-120-7 Each squadron has a brief history and a listing of what aircraft was used when, the commanding officers, and Squadron Base (and for some, Flight Bases too).

I don't think the Corsairs were in service post-war but the Skyraiders were - usually as radar picket types. ISTR conversion kits for those a long time ago but I can't say whether they're still available or have been superseded. If you're in the market for a Frog Attacker, I have one in the Novo boxing.
