Fine brushes?

Hi

Can someone point me in the direction for where I can obtain good quality

5/0 to 10/0 brushes please.

UK or USA, does not matter.

Cheers.

Check a good art-supply store, or a good drafting-supply store. And look for Winsor-Newton "Series 7" brushes. If you can score some of these, a 00 and 000 will be all you need. They are *much* better than the typical 5/0 and 10/0 brushes. Trust me. They hold their points much better, and maintain them better. And they actually hold enough paint to be useful. Look at the work of such figure artists such as Bill Horan (who once did a 1/32nd vignette of soldiers from the Berkshire Regt., where the word "Berkshire" was hand painted across each and every uniform epaulette...and it was *readable*...remember, this was 1/32nd scale!!). Guys like Mr. Horan do most of such fine detail work with a 000 brush.

If you want to paint thin lines, look for brushes with longer bristles. They hold more paint than a short-bristled brush of the same numeric size.

Thanks,

Found some now. I'll see if I can pick up some Vallejo ones.
