Israeli Lavi Kit?

ROFLOL if you look at all the Isralifacations to the F16 since the end of the project then you will understand. but then I have a feeling that you just refuse to look at it clearly. as for you getting the drawings before the project ended. I doubt it highly since you would not be able to post after the mossad got done with you .;-)

What has the "Isralifacation" of the F-16 got to do with anything, that has been happening almost since the beginning. and whatever was learned from the Lavi program, and could be applied to the IAF F-16, well that would just be expected.

To put this in perspective, I came to work for GD in 1984 (the Lavi program was still very much under way), sometime late 84/early 85 I mention to a colleague that the Lavi sure seem to have some F-16 blood flowing through it, his response was to roll out the drawings with the remake to the effect, "And why should you be surprised, we're helping them".

Yeah, I am really looking over my shoulder waiting for a Mossad hit team.

Actually, it looks like a child of a pregnant F-16 that was frightened by a Mirage. Air forces like planes that look like planes they like--look at the RAF balking at anything that didn't look like a Spitfire.

Actually I don't give a damn what you say. the Israeli aircraft experts shot you down long ago, Yoav Efrati and Ranan Weiss both say your full of it,

God but I love this thread. Remember this is about an obscure prototype. Can you imagine how heated things might get if it was about an airplane we really had an opinion about???? But - in the best newsgroup tradition, some interesting stuff has come to light, which is great. So, anyway, where were we? All the best everyone, Chek

So does all this mean that GD assisted China in the J-10 project? With IAI acting as GD's agent?

Well, build an F-16, add some IDF markings and you may be fine, according to some of the posters...

I bet if the Lavi was from MiG or Sukhoi, Ken Duffey would have a kitbash on his website. Or did he do the article for SAMI? :) I'd like a copy of it if someone rounds it up.

"Chek" waxed lyrical news:bit64u$ks9$ snipped-for-privacy@titan.btinternet.com:

If we're really lucky Trumpeter will do a 72nd J-10. That will give you the basics for a 48th scale Lavi. . .

Even the relation ship between the nose, canopy and intake was different (as those of us who have tried building one found out)

The aircraft was the same sort of relation to the F-16 as the A7 was to the F-8 - and I don't think the J-10 looks like the LAVI
