Looking for 1/20th scale car kit

Been working on updating this diorama of my boss's which he takes to trade shows and it was done in 1/20th scale and employs several of those old Lindberg kits, which have since gone out of production and have all but disappeared from the shelves of my local hobby shops. He contracted me to do another diorama to display another product in use, to accompany the first, but, as I say, I can't find any of these kits locally or online. I had one in storage so I was able to get the thing

80% done, but I need one more stupid kit to finish this thing. Anyone have any of these things collecting dust, or have some idea about getting a hold of one? I am so ready for this project to be done.

Thanks, J.R. Remove (shines) from my address to reply

Yeah, the Tamiya F1 kits won't work though, because I need Civie vehicles, and I explored the 1/18 option as well, but they're just a little too big. Sadly, the more standard 1/24 and 1/25 are a little too small. I did see that some of the small 1/18 scale sports cars were just small enough that I might be able to pull it off. The dioramas depict drive-thru and dealership auto detail shops in action, as that's the industry my company services, and they take these things to trade shows to show how our equipment might look in an ideal (ideal meaning crammed with as much of our stuff as we'd like you to buy) shop would look like in action. It doesn't have to be to the level of detail that something I would take to an IPMS show would need to be, so if the scale wasn't 100% no one would notice or care. Still, I was hoping someone out there may have one of these thing collecting dust on a shelf in their closet.

Thanks a bunch for the input though. I'll resolve this thing come hell or high water.

I would use a 1/20 Corvette MPC made these in the seventies and they are still available at reasonable prices.

Entex (orig. Bandai?) came out with many 1/20 scale cars in the 70's. Over the past few years I've acquired 4 of them; VW Bug (build now)BMW

2002 Turbo, VW Rabbit, and Porsche 914. So make sure you look on EBay for "Entex".

Entex, as far as I can see, was simply a reboxing importer of a number of manufacturers' kits. While I'll search for them by name (and have a couple of the lovely 2002 turbos as well as their 3.0CSL race cars), you would do better by searching ("1/20","1:20") using the quotation marks to keep the numbers 'stuck together' in ebay's search engine, which will otherwise ignore the punctuation inside. Then narrow your results to the automotive models category, if necessary.

You might want to look for the widely available Tamiya Jeep Grand Cherokee, depending on your diorama needs. ISTR it's 1/20.

Lindberg did one in 1/20 (actually not a Grand Cherokee) ... Tamiya's is 1/24.

My bad. I usually build cars that are so much smaller, this thing

*seems* like it's in another scale. Matter of fact, so does my 1:1 GC! =8^O

But a quick check showed lots of 1/20 subjects on ebay for under $20.
