Panzer interiors

Any one have any good info on the various interior colors of PzKpfw III,IV, Panther and Tiger? How about engines, and engine fittings, including transmissions? This subject seems to be a researcher's nightmare.

This is a pretty common question and covered pretty well in some of the saved threads.

Basically the interior color is an off white - more towards a beigish shade of cream -- with a dark grey floor. Most of the major removable components appear to be black but the fixed ones are cream as well.

There are some comments that late war equipment was either a primer red or red-brown color to simplify camouflage of the vehicles when done.

I am sure someone will give you more details such as shades, colors, RLM type color matches, or help you get to a post where the colors are listed.

Speaking of "interior" subjects....Recently "Texas Monthly" handed put its annual "Bum Steer Awards", to the "best of the worst" in Texas, and of Texans:

First Place --- Jessica Simpson

The pop diva and reality TV star, raised in Richardson, repeatedly denied she's dumb but proved otherwise: When she was introduced to Secretary of the Interior Gale Norton, she said, "You've done a nice job decorating the White House." With Jessica, it's the exterior that counts.
