[Q] Keeping a dremel clean

Whenever I grind stuff with a dremel the dust collects around the front and vents of the dremel. I'm really scared of dust entering the vents, but can these be sealed with tape safely?

Don't worry about the dust in the Vents, it will blow out automatically when it's in use, I have 2 of these, One I have had for at least 20 years now and it still works fine. You will do more harm sealing the vents as the heat from inside will not be able to escape resulting in a burnt out motor...!!

I'd be more worried about the dust I'm breathing in......

No. Your Dremel will take care of itself.

If you're concerned about dust, consider getting the cable extension and mounting the drive motor rigidly to your desk. That's my system and it works.
