Over the years I have ordered from UK, Poland, Germany,

You were lucky. It's possible that after your orders were packed it was found that air rates were actually *less* than surface (I know this happens occasionally from personal experience as an eBay seller) or were so nearly the same as surface that your orders were sent by air anyway.

I've ordered twice from Hannant's, and both times it came in after about three weeks. I've ordered books overseas that have taken closer to five weeks. All my other orders have been from Australia, but I think they've gone airmail and have come in at about ten days, ± 2.

I order regularly from HobbyTerra.com which is in the Ukraine. I usually receive my order in about two weeks.
