I am making a "tribute" model of the Columbia, using Revell's 1/72 kit. I have photo evidence that the main gear wells and doors are plated with cadmium-titanium to protect against heat and corrosion, but I can't find simlar photos of the nose gear well and doors. Does anyone know if the nose gear wells/doors are similarly treated or are they just painted the same gloss white finish as the main/nose gear struts and wheels? Where can I find photos of the nose gear well (not Enterprise, since it was contructed differently than the space-rated orbiters)? Thanks.
