Tidying up ie mad scanning

I keep instructions and box art - however it takes up too much room so I have been tidying.

Scanning box art and instructions - done about 200 passes now, some sheets take 9 or 10 passes, already well over 120MB as well.

My model railway magazine collection has been shrunk by removing all the adverts from Railway Modeller

In my latest move at decrapification I've considered scanning several magazine titles and selling the stack. However, experience with crashed hard drives tells me this is no solution either unless I back it up on another hard drive and keep in storage. Removing the ads certainly reduces the space but that kind of ruins the flavor of reading an antique mag for me. I just was presented with some flying model mags from the forties (before RC) and the ads are the high point of the read. No easy solutions,

When you need the room it works - when the middle pulls out leaving the ads great

Those are about half the issue, IIRC. I did the same with my collection of "Model Railroader". I filled at least three grocery bags. Sure took some weight off my second storey floor.
