The Maryland public TV is running a series on German soldiers and sailors in World War II. Interviews with surviving men talking about their experiences interspersed with newsreel footage. Last night was the invasion of Russia. Tonight it is the turn of the U-Boat Waffe. They are showing some footage of A U-Boat sitting on a concrete plinth. It is a rusty mess. If this is the U-511, whoever it was that posted on here some nights ago that she was in bad shape wasn't kidding. She looks ready to fall apart. I don't think she could be in much worse shape from sitting on the bottom for 50 years.
