Does anyone know the standard height of WWII U.S. Navy ship railings? From what I can see from photographs, it looks to be either 36" or 42".

Does anyone know the standard height of WWII U.S. Navy ship railings? From what I can see from photographs, it looks to be either 36" or 42".
From what I remember Essex class carriers railings were at least 42 inches. Don't get caught leaning on them either...
