Try W.H. Smiths Newsagents found in most High Streets but get in early! Brian of Chiswick

I have found this shop very good. It's a little out of the way.

I'll agree with that; the chap at Falconwood keeps the back issues in boxes at the back of the shop. Although out of the way, it is on the same bus route at Kit Krazy in Bexleyheath (303 the Broadway), which is usually worth a visit. The other alternative for back issue of model (and aircraft magazine) is The Aviation Book Shop in Holloway Road (check

for the exact address), several hundred yards south of Archway tube station.
