Zona miter blade replacement

Jan 23, 2009 3 Replies

We use the Zona fine tooth miter saws in my shop class. I notice the blade is able to be removed from the metal backing strip. Is there some place that sells just the flat replacement blade? Is this the right newsgroup to pose this question?

thanks, Ron

If you're talking about any of these -

and you can remove the blade from it's spine, they are defective or warn beyond useful life. The blade and spine are a unit. You can buy new blades for the handle...from this site, and elsewhere.

If these aren't the ones you're after, I'm curious to know what you mean...

I found the blades in my cabinet from a previous teacher and assumed he bought the blades as they looked new. I did see where to buy the blade with the spline. Is it cost effective or should I just buy the saw?

Go ahead and buy the blades - unless you just need more saws. The blades do wear out, replacing them is pretty routine. No need for new handles unless they're in as bad shape as the worn blades.

I tend to use the blades without a handle, myself...but that all depends on what you're cutting.
