I bought a copy. Small footprint, fast and very capable for what it does. I use some of the stuff I made for a screen background.
I played with it a bit in beta, and then again at SWW2005. It's a pretty cool program, but I really don't have much more time with it than that.

Thanks everyone.
I keep thinking that with CAD getting almost easy to use, and with the general direction that wiki is growing, we aren't that far from documenting the world around us in very fine detail. Imagine everyone and their Grannies sketching up their dreams, redesigning the world to their liking.
It would be just dandy if they would just give away old versions of SW for the asking. What do you think the odds are of that happening? Alibre is lightweight enough, cost-wise, that maybe that's the direction things will go. If I were in a position to make a philanthropic gesture, I think this would be it. Empowering the masses, though, was never ever a good thing. (Point of view, of course.)
