If for some reason a dimension dangles in the wind, is theer a way to re-attatch it ?

If You're in SW 2005 You can just drag it to re-attach.....otherwise it's not possible

It depends upon where the dimension is. If it's in the part model, just click on the dimension and drag the little red square to where it is supposed to attach. It it's in the drawing and it came in from the part (as a model item), then I think the same technique works. If you added the dimension in the drawing, then you have to remake the dimension, at least up to SW04.
