Buyers beware of this type of purchase. SolidWorks will not recognize this type of sale. They will not allow the license to be legally transferred under these circumstances. What this means is that if you do make the E-Bay purchase you better make sure you get a registration code with it. It will never be able to be updated.

On the day this was posted I checked just to be able to alert eBay if the auction was still on their site. It wasn't. Chances are either SolidWorks Corp themselves keep a lookout for such stuff or that the eBay people have already tagged anything with "SolidWorks" in it for automatic review . . . because this isn't the first time it has happened. But your warning is still a point well taken.
