Part selection

Working with an assembly.



When I select the topmost entry in the design tree only a few of the fifty or so parts in the assembly turn green. This didn't use to be the case. What's the reason and significance of this?

I was hoping someone here would have a quick answer. I'll go ahead an submit a support case and see what comes back.
