Dear All. Is it possible to sketch directly onto a surface? I have curve that is extruded with a draft and want to be able to sketch onto it. Many thanks for your help. Regards, Alex

There are two ways to do that. The normal way is to select a planar face and open a sketch on the face, but it only works on a planar face. The second way is to use the Spline On Surface tool, but it only allows you to sketch splines, and it cannot bridge across edges, and is highly susceptible to sketch relation errors, especially if it touches an edge.
Other tools you may be interested in when this one doesn't work out are: intersection curve and projected curve
best of luck.
You can bridge faces by placing a point on the shared edge. If you wanted straight lines then I imagine using two point splines would be feasible. Although annoying to sketch!
