Hi all,
Is there a way of opening a SW 2007 file w/ SW 2006. Specifically I am trying to use some tutorial files in SW 2006.

No, you sure can't. You need a working copy of 2007 so that you can save the files to a neutral format (iges, step, parasolid, etc).
