I'm on to my fourth CTD using Photoworks in SW2007. Trying to drag a material onto a part and BAM, gone. Takes forever to re-start now too, wheras in SW2006 was quite quick to get going again.
Photoworks in SW2006 has stopped working - it asks me to register each time and then says it fails to initialize add-in component.
Any help?
Wow, no we haven't seen issues like this on 2007 SP 1. I hate to sound like a tech support guy but maybe you need to re-install or run a repair on your install. If you installed SW2006 and SW2007 to different folders (ex c:/program files/ SW 2006) then you should be able to run either version without issue as long as you're not mixing
2006 and 2007 files.2007 SP1 actually boots really quickly. SP 0.0 was very slow to boot but since installing SP1 its almost "instant open"

Beta Photoworks crashed a lot for me, but that was months ago. Problems like yours are usually maintenance or installation issues.
