when might we see a new release?

Approximately every 9 months, it seems. 04 isn't that old, so there'll be a bit of a wait, I imagine.

If we're all REALLY lucky, you won't see a new release until they get the current release working properly. Since that hasn't happened in my memory (I've been using since 98+) it will probably happen MUCH too soon for the rest of us.

SW 2003; released about a year ago at SP0.0, now at SP5.1 (8 major public releases)

SW2004; released a couple months ago at SP0.0, now at SP1.0 with SP2.0 currently in the works.

I think we're looking at a "major" release every year with patches released about every two months.
