I am modeling an Alco PA1/PB/PA1 set as delivered to the D&RGW and am wondering what the correct shade of yellow to use. I have read a number of articles and it seems as if there were a number of shades used over the years. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks,
Most paints that are called DRGW Yellow are more orange than yellow. If you look at the Durango & Silverton "bumble-bee" train, the yellow is much closer to a true yellow, such as Railbox Yellow. That would also be more in keeping with the bumble-bee theme.
