Go Hobby or discounttrainsonline shops

Stevert,

I will ask my friend to call them and order the car set for me. I hope he will agree to help me.

I have bought many models on ebay or internet shops so far. I paid by Visa Card or Paypal. There never were problems with paying by Visa and sending items to Poland. This is a reason why I am suprised that they suggest payment by Western Union. I have never bought models in this shop so I would rather ask before I try ;-). I didn't ask about Manhattantrains and I had many problems.

Thanks everyone for helping me. Arek

I just paid a visit to "GoHobbies" in person. They do have a physical presence, but it's not a walk-in-and-buy-it Hobby Shop: just a small office in a commercial warehouse with email connections and a couple of girls to run things. From what I was told and saw, they do keep some stuff in stock, but it's mostly just a you-order-it and then *they* order-it-from-the-wholesalers operation.

Personally, I'd avoid dealing with a retailer who doesn't keep the items you want in stock, as what they're doing is actually taking your money on deposit in the hopes that their wholesaler will have the particular item in stock when they ask for it. If it then turns out that the supplier

*doesn't* have the item in stock, you can be stuck between a rock and a hard place with the money gone and only the dealer's word that it's going to show up some day. Eventually. Perhaps.
