LionelTrainMart.com - DOMAIN NAME FOR SALE

Feb 03, 2005 3 Replies

Hi,

I am selling the domain name: "LionelTrainMart.com". If you sell Lionel trains the benefits of owning this name are obvious.

The price is 1200.00 Euros (or about $1556.00 US dollars OR, 827 GBP). The transfer charge I think is about $6.95 (US dollars) or maybe less. There are no hidden charges.

You can purchase this domain name and use it or, keep it for an investment.

Payment can be by US cashier's check or money order, EU bank transfer to my bank in Germany, or Western Union Money Gram. If you wish to use PayPal, there will be a 3.3% surcharge to cover their fees.

The name can be purchased and transferred anywhere in the world.

I am selling this domain name?once you buy it you own it. This is NOT a lease or rental deal.

The transfer will take place immediately upon receipt of payment. You can begin using it immediately.

If you have any questions, please email me at: snipped-for-privacy@gmail.com

Thanks,

Bill

Why are you posting this on a model railway newsgroup?

Surely such an offer belongs on alt.marketing.shonky?

You're a bit out of touch if you think the domain name counts for much these days. Sure if you had a truly simple, memorable name then it might be worth a bit of money, but lioneltrainmart.com is pretty useless from an online marketing perspective. Heck, someone could register lionel-train-mart.com for less than a tenner a year, and it'd be about as useful as the domain you're trying to sell. The majority of online supplier finding is done via search engines, so a better investment of 1200 Euros would be to buy a cheaper domain name and pay for some SEO.

Still, you could always try flogging it on Ebay. You might find a sucker there willing to pay that much for the domain name, though I doubt it. A hint, I own craftcentre.com, yet doubt that I'd get much more than £100 or so if I tried to flog it.

Cheers Clive
