Kalmbach "Urgent Warning"

I have a couple of friends who ordered Classic Toy Trains, by Kalmbach, through an ad on Ebay. Regular subscription was $39.95. Ebay offer was $21. The ebay ad stated it would take 3 months to start receiving the subscription and they both said in three months they started receiving it, no problems.

I just like to add that the delay is only for the first issue. Subsequent issues arrived as normal. Someone else suggested -- if I read it correctly -- that each issue was three months behind as if the seller were buying up out of date magazines. That does not seem to be the case.

Etc, etc, etc. Fact is, other magazines give the same warnings about unauthorised subscription brokers - eg, Scientific American prints one in every issue, and it names the same outfits that were named at the start of this thread.

IOW, there is a real scam out there, and there's no reason to support it.
