Lighting an Unelectrified Passenger Car

Wondering if anyone has a good link which will walk someone through what needs to be done to modify an unelectrified passenger car so that it can have internal lighting and/or sound installed.

Thanks!

Bowser makes an electrifying kit. I bought it at

It provides 2 sets of insulated wheels/axles, and copper pickups. Solder a wire to each tab on the pickups and drill holes in the frame to fish the wires through.

offers lighting modules, or just about anything you need if you want to scratch-build.

Frank,

Can you post some more details on this Bowser product? I can't find it on their website. How much does it cost?

I'm looking to light a few cabooses and am looking at putting in a function-only DCC decoder.

Cheers,

Likewise - I couldn't find anything on either the Bowser website or the vendor that was specified.

Of course, I am also looking for N Scale stuff as well......which may or may not be more difficult to find. :\

It's about $8, and you may have to give JB Klein a call in Baltimore. This is the retailer that operates

I seem to recall that it wasn't on the website when I looked, either.
