Is it true that WebTV is a tool for the cerebrally impaired?

Several years ago they were offering a totally free trial: they send you the boxes, you hook it up, and away you go . . . into the land of Microsoft inspired sappiness, s l o o o w performance, and, of course, lovely 40 column text screens.

I tried it out, and after a week and a half told them to send the return shipping labels. It was an incredibly slow, very much dumbed down, and quintessentially Mickeysoft experience, along hte lines of Bob and Clippy and "My Pictures" and "My Documents" and . . . [gag me with a spoon].

Not the horror of (gasp) BOB!
