I managed to get my Jap4/3 running today and now I want to start finding something about the history .
From what the previous owner has told me it spent much of its life
running a compressor at Filton airfield in Bristol .
I managed to clean some of the muck from where the engine numbers are and revealed the numbers , they are 43V 71940 / 1 Can anyone date my engine from these numbers
