Fantastic news

Not much time to tell you about it now as I am getting ready for opening tomorrow but ...... we have just taken delivery of some FANTASTIC engines from the Science Museum, London - Crossley No1, Mirrlees No1, Over-hung Crossley, a Griffin and a Hugon.

This is on top of the larger parts of the Doxford arriving this week (photos in our Gallery - Doxford) and the Atkinson and Deutz engines last month.

I was thinking of visiting for the first time tomorrow. I see its the first day of the new season. I'll look for the stressed-out guy with a big grin.

Geoff,

Brilliant to see an original 1880s Atkinson engine fired up for the first time in donkeys years. Talk about rare, thats right up there with hens teeth and rocking-horse droppings.... and I think I understand the motion..or at least I thought I did until I read that you can make them with the inlet and exhaust strokes different from the compression and power strokes.

Plus the Science Museum engines are a real coup - a set of hens teeth, in fact, a sort of chicken coup (oops). It is quite a collection !

Well done Geoff,

Just spent a fantastic weekend at Internal Fire looking at all the new arrivals there in place and running.
