OT a bit - Knife Switches

We bought a couple of old knife switches on ebay last year, and one of the vendors promised that he would keep an eye out for any more, so we were quite surprised when he announced that he had two boxes of them available if we were interested!

He sent pic's of the collection, some appeared to be unused, and some were on a giant slate board, the weight of which precluded postage, but he stripped the parts off the board and offered to hold on to it until we were on out next trip to Spain.

The switches were paid for back in early February, and he sent them by registered post, but they didn't show up until this morning, seems that postal services all over Europe are taking a lot of money for what is a poor service.

Anyway, we have just spent a happy half0hour unpacking the two boxes and playing with the new toys! The largest is a three-pole 80A AC switch, the smallest is a tiddly 10A one.

All survived the journey, he had removed the wooden operating handles so they wouldn't be damaged, and everything is 100%

I will start on making up a few additional pages on the switchboard stuff now, to go with the meters that we already have.
