Bit slow perhaps ?

Building a crafstman kit - first try at brass loco body. Taken 2 hours to solder tank top and beading to tank side. Is there hope that will speed up with more practice - have already done buffer beams and valences to footplate, seems enough experience to me ?

cheers, Simon

A job worth doing is worth doing well ! Practice .... Experience .... Confidence .........

It may take you a time to build but think of the many many more hours of enjoyment you will get from the completed loco !

Dont think will ever suffer from that one, am hoping for confidence though.

Since discovering radio 4 iplayer am getting plenty of enjoyment from the building, just that there are so many things to do ....

Perhaps best not to wear a "tank top" whilst soldering :-)

Think should wear something even if just that out of respect for the kit.
