for: Bob Heath re Triang Loco

The loco represented is the first of the Deeley (Midland Railway) 3F

0-6-0 Tender Engines. These were of the parallel boiler, non super heat belpaire design first built in 1906. They were until 1923 painted in MR maroon with number on the tender and the MR garter motif on the cab sheets. Missing on your model is the yellow painted MR on the front buffer plate. The number was repeated on the smoke-box door as in BR days. In 1923 after grouping the tender carried LMS and the cab sheets the number.
