Try Bob Russell from Guisborough in Cleveland. He's the official Farish spares agent - other wise I suspect you are wasting your time and our bandwith by repeatedly posting this same request on here.

Dear Mr Skoda, Yoda, or whatever your name is,

We heard you the first time. I assume you keep reposting this message because you think we all ignored you, and a multiple posting might persuade someone to come up with the goods. Well I have some bad news for you. If people don't reply to your posting, it means that they cannot help you with what you are looking for. Therefore it is pointless to post the same message again, because it is most unlikely that in the three days between your previous posting (under the name Yoda with the same email address) and this one, anyone will have come into possession of any of the goods you are after.

Kindest regards to John Turner and John Sullivan for their helpful advice.

Bah Humbug

Who got out of the wrong side of the bed today?

Not me, old chap.

I hate people who only post adverts and don't contribute to the discussion in this newsgroup.

But John, somebody may only have found this newsgroup for the first time as a result of trying to sell an unwanted item. That was how I discovered various sci-fi groups and have been a regular contributor to them ever since. I don't plug my eBay items in them any more because I don't think it would have have much effect on buyers. There are less than 100 regular readers here so any new posters should be welcome.

Even accepting that it doesn't excuse posting the same advertisement twice in three days - and I believe the same thing has been posted prior to that too.

John.

Yes but John Turner, don't you post adverts?

and as for John Sullivan well...enough said!

FAQS for Group

Commercial advertisers should not post adverts more frequently than once per month.

Commercial advertisers should not post adverts more frequently than once per month.

Occasionally, but hopefully within the spirit of the group's FAQ, and I most certainly do not repeat them at three day intervals if ever.

Check my posting record.

John.

As someone who *has* picked John up on 'advertising' in the past I honestly can't remember seeing any blatant 'For Sale' or 'Want to Buy' posting from him for some time, mostly his traders postings are of a 'what's been released or is expected' type of message - he hasn't even included his traders sig line at the bottom of these massages.

He hasn't. I think you need to find a clue before those N gauge items you keep asking for, I think Hattons might sell clues !

What has that got to do with the cost of cheese in China?

It proves you wrong on your accusation, that's what !

"Skoda" wrote

OK, let me try and be a bit more helpful as you're obviously drawing a blank here.

Go to

formatting link
and enter N-scale or even N-gauge into their search facility and you will be introduced to several hundred Yahoo email groups all dealing with N-gauge modelling to some degree or other. Read through their introductions and join one or more which looks as if they

a] deal with British outline modelling and b] welcome advertising.

You're much more likely to be able to source the type of bits you want in that way.

John.

Thank you John, I will try this avenue. It is often difficult to find the most appropriate newsgroup.

It is when they aren't newsgroups, rather web forums / email groups !....

Hope you have good spam filtering though....
