If anyone is in the York area over the weekend, there will be four Japanese outline N gauge layouts on display at the NRM on 26-27 July as part of their Japan Week event. The layouts scheduled to appear are:
- Phil Hendry's highly acclaimed Kamahashi Kikanku (mostly steam) locomotive depot layout
- Norman Raven's Katamitu
- Colin Brown's Tram Taku
- George Swainston's "tabletop" layout (a Japanese-style instant layout with minimal scenery but lots of trains running)
Admission is free.
