Kadee "drop in" couplings for Bachman Models?

Hi

Does anyone know if Kaydee make one of their coupling hooks(the ones that look like minature Buckeyes) that would be an exact match for the mounting on a Bachmann 158 or their 08's ? Basically the Bachmann Coupler mouting looks like a square piece with a diamond shaped hole in it mounted on the floor of either the 08 or the 158. The coupler itself has a male version of the diamond shape that fits exactly in to the hole.

So my idea was to remove the existing couplings and get some kaydee's that would fit into the diamond hole. does anyone know if Kaydee make these and what number they are and where to get them from ? I'm in the UK

I don't really want to start hacking the floors about on the two loco's until I've exhausted all the options

thanks in advance

Ashley

Make that 17,18,19,20 as 16 isn't a NEM The higher the number the longer the shank - 17s are generally too short, 18s can be tight if the buffers are of prototypical length. Mike Parkes
