There are some using EM gauge in HO scale, and others modeling to P87 standards on the correct gauge track - 18.39mm. But not too many of either... I also know of one gentleman modeling 5'3" gauge in 4mm scale on 20mm gauge - not the correct 21mm because of clearance difficulties only resolved by going to P4 standards.
