For those budding real-life modellers out there, if you want to get an idea of the actual layout of a station then visit

If you find the station you are interested in (using postcode, name etc), at small scales you can click "aerial photo" and get a reasonable picture of the actual place taken from the air (funnily enough).



I have just looked at Rugby and it's certainly good enough to get a good start. It also gives an appreciation of how long those scale curves actually are!!!

The coverage at least for recent times is fairly complete (although how much you can get for free is another matter).
