What is the best wire/gas setup to weld 22ga. alumanized commercial exhaust duct. Also w.s/ volt/amp/slope settings please. This is being done with an older 250amp miller mig welder in a manufacturing enviroment Also need this info for 18 to 22 ga. 316 stainless steel .Thanks in advance!

Rod: I have done this too.

95% Argon - 5% Oxygen gas using .023" diameter solid wire - ER70S2 wire is what I always prefer. Others will disagree re the wire esp. ;) It will be a fast weld (production).

Or you can use 75% Argon - 25% CO2 gas using Silicon Bronze wire.

Rod: Then use the 95% Argon - 5% Oxygen gas for BOTH projects. The wire I recommend is 309L. Others will disagree re the wire esp. ;)

Rod Ryker... It is reasoning and faith that bind truth.
