I am trying to build a device that will atomatically feed a carbon rod into an arc. I have the mechanics worked out using a couple of stepper motors. WHat I need to know is what parameter do I need to monitor so I will know when to feed more rod. Showed I monitor the current, the voltage accross the arc or something else???
