Greetings Netizens -

After much frustration, I find that this welder is too much for my shop panel to handle. Its gotta go. You'all have the first shot. Next week it goes into the paper.

Description - Hobart TR-250HF Tig/Stick welder. 300 amp machine AC/DC. Needs a 100 amp 220V single phase 60Hz feed. All I have for it is a couple of big foot pedals that will need the connectors for the front panel. Also have the parts list and schematic book for troubleshooting.

One problem known with the machine is the former owner hardwired the amp select switch to the high setting for the 45-300 range. Appears the select switch may have a bad contact or burned pad. Looks to be a sealed unit. Unknown if High Freq is working since my panel trips when I try to strike an arc.

If its worth $200 to somebody here, drop me an email. I'm in Holiday,Fl. north of the Tampa Bay area. Its a heavy unit (around 500 pounds) so I prefer if you come by to pick it up. I have lifting equipment to get it into a pickup.

Till then....Later

Jim Vrzal

P.S. I'm in the market for a Econotig sized unit. Thanks.
