metal cold saw

just a fyi for anyone needing a new cold saw.

harbor freight has Makita 12" cold saw for $389 #44473-0MJA

I don't want to be nit picky, but just technically accurate. The makita

12" you indicated is a 'dry-cut chop saw', not a 'cold saw'. A cold-saw operates at 50-60rpm and uses a HSS blade, while a dry-cut saw uses an h6 carbide or cermet tipped blade operating in the 1-2k rpm range. Here's a picture of the chinese version of a cold-saw from HF:

If HF is selling it for $599, you can imagine what a quality model would go for.
