... An Ace Bantam Midget servo, to pair up with the one I built 30 years ago running the ailerons in a Goldberg Eaglet 50 kit that's Almost Done.
(Yes, I am crazy, no, it won't be nearly as good as a new servo, and yes, it'll cost more in 'real' terms than waltzing down to the LHS and buying a matched pair. But you build kits for the fun of it.)

You realize I'm probably going to end up spending more time on the web page than on the servo -- I've already got the PC board built up (and I did take pictures).
I remember this as hard, tight work. Compared to surface mount it's a snap (the microscope helps). The only thing that's a pain compared to surface mount is getting things to stay neatly in the holes until they're soldered, but that's a problem that can be overcome.
Now if I can stop fantasizing about an all-digital PIC12C615 version and keep my nose to the grindstone, I may have this thing in the air in a week or two.
