Hi,
A friend of mine wants to try painting the fuse of his new bipe. It will be his first time at spray painting on a plane.
Here's a description of the characteristics of polyurethane;
"Any of various resins, widely varying in flexibility, used in tough chemical-resistant coatings, adhesives, and foams."
He will want to fill in the pores of the balsa covering with dope and baby powder, then sand it smooth before spraying. I have used this method with clear pollyurethane spray successfully.
The questions are, is polyurethane available in color? And can repairs be made by first filling in with dope to smooth over the repair, then sprayed over with ployurethane?
Anyone with the experience and a response will be appreciated.
