As someone in group likes to say... Nose heavy airplanes fly poorly; Tail heavy airplanes fly ONCE. Having said that, maybe you can get a very heavy prop nut to balance it out while you tue the A/C, then remove it when you are ready to put the cowl on. My LHS carries Brass spinner nuts that weigh a good 3-4 oz. I suspect that one of these would allow you to balance the plane without the cowl.

in the end, I added approx 1 1/2 oz Lead and flew it. It balanced at approx

I have approx 250 flights on my high wing trainer, and had a blast with the CAP today!

This was the first low wing aircraft that I have flown - I got a little help on the first flight, and reduced the elevator rates a little after the first flight....

The only slight bad tendency was to need a fair bit of down while inverted, otherwise it flew great, and with my Force 46, almost unlimited vertical with a 10X7 prop.

I think I'm gunna love this plane!!!

That might mean it needs the CG moved slightly more back. If you try this, be aware that the elevator will become more sensitive as the CG moves backward!
