I just started using my MDS 2.18 and am having problems with the mi



range set up. Its in a gp Christian eagle The low speed is good as is the hig speed, but anyware else is slobering ritch and no matter what I do nothing change this.I've got about a gallon and a half throug it now so I don't thin it's a break in issue. Any sugestions

One of the fellows in our R/C Club has one of them and had the same trouble with mid-range...if that makes you feel any better...he is trying to sell it. Probably the solution would be a different carburetor...perhaps a Perry carb would solve the problem..they work great on any engine.. Regards, Frank Schwartz in Hendersonville, TN

This month's issue of MAN, page 130, has a very informative article by Dave Gierke on this very topic. Dave describes "Midrange Blues" but opposite to what you have. He claims that most two cycle engines run rich at the high end and low end but sag by running rich in the mid range. He describes four fixes to mitigate the problem. It is a good read and might give you some insight into fixing your problem..
